G GPACalc

Free GPA calculator widget for your website

Put a working GPA calculator on your school, tutoring, counselling or study-skills page. Students add their courses, credit hours and letter grades and see a credit-weighted GPA on the US 4.0 scale with plus and minus grades, the same points our full GPA calculator uses.

Embed code

Paste these three lines wherever your site accepts HTML:

<div class="gpacalc-widget"></div>
<script src="https://gpacalculate.net/widget/gpa.js" async></script>
<p style="font:12px/1.4 sans-serif;margin:6px 0 0">GPA calculator by <a href="https://gpacalculate.net/">GPACalc</a></p>

Where to paste it

  • WordPress: add a Custom HTML block to the page or post.
  • Google Sites: Insert → Embed → Embed code.
  • Squarespace: add a Code block.
  • Wix: Add → Embed code → Embed HTML.
  • Canvas, Blackboard or Moodle pages: switch the editor to HTML view. Some school LMS setups strip scripts; if the calculator does not appear, link to gpacalculate.net/gpa-calculator/ instead.

What the widget does and does not do

  • It calculates a credit-weighted GPA: each grade’s points are multiplied by its credits, added up and divided by total credits. Rows without credits or a grade are left out.
  • It uses the common US 4.0 scale: A+ and A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3 down to D− = 0.7 and F = 0. Schools that give A+ a 4.3, or that weight AP and honors classes, should point students to the weighted GPA calculator.
  • It sets no cookies, loads no trackers and sends nothing anywhere. Everything runs in the visitor’s browser.
  • Its styles are sealed off from your page, so your theme will not distort it and it will not restyle your site.

Is it free? Yes, for any site, with no sign-up. We ask that you keep the small “GPA calculator by GPACalc” line under it. If something breaks on your platform, email guptaaryan583@gmail.com and tell us where it is embedded.
